Hi, I'm Michelle.

I’m grateful you're here.

I've always been drawn to creating spaces where people feel welcome and connected. Before becoming a counsellor, I spent two decades working as a pastry chef, where creating meaningful moments of connection for others was at the heart of my everyday work.

Eventually, I felt drawn toward a different way of connecting with others. It was rooted in honouring people's stories and being present during the moments when life feels heavy. Counselling became a natural extension of the connection that has always been important to me.

My own journey has included choices that did not fit the timelines or expectations I had been surrounded by. There have been moments of questioning, comparison, people-pleasing, and self-doubt. Over time, I have come to trust myself and the wisdom that comes from living my own experience.

I work collaboratively, with genuine curiosity about your lived experience. I recognize that many of our experiences are held not only in our thoughts, but also in our bodies. Exploring these experiences can take courage, and I aim to offer a steady and supportive presence where you feel seen and heard.

I believe you bring your own wisdom and strengths into the counselling space. My role is not to tell you who you are or provide all the answers. Rather, it is to walk alongside you with care and curiosity as you explore the beliefs, stories, and expectations that have shaped your experience of yourself and the world around you.

Outside the Counselling Room

Outside of counselling, you’ll often find me practicing yoga, trying to keep my plants alive, walking in nature with my sweet dog (who may be considered a senior, but will always be my puppy), baking sourdough in my kitchen, or occasionally wondering where I put my car keys.

These moments anchor me in the practices and experiences that help me return to myself. They remind me of the importance of slowing down, cultivating presence, and making space for what matters to me.

What Guides My Work

  • Connection

I believe healing happens in relationship. I aim to foster a counselling relationship where you feel seen, heard, and accepted as you are.

  • Compassion

I hold space for all parts of your experience, including the parts that feel ready to be explored and the parts that may need more time and care.

  • Curiosity

I approach your story with openness and curiosity, making space to explore the beliefs, experiences, and expectations that have shaped who you are today.

Let’s Connect

A free consultation provides a space to connect, ask questions, and explore whether I am the right counsellor to support you.
